Brookfield Residential rises to challenges
September 16, 2020
A company that finds its way through hardship is a sign of a strong team, one that thrives amidst the adversity may just be a mark of greatness. Despite the obvious challenges of the year, Brookfield Residential not only found its way through, but to continue to forge a path to a brighter future.
The renowned homebuilder and land developer brought home a clutch of trophies at the recent 2019 BILD Calgary Region Awards and is nominated for more in the 2020 BILD Alberta Awards.
“Brookfield Residential is proud of all it has accomplished in both its Edmonton and Calgary divisions, especially during these challenging times,” says Trent Edwards, Brookfield Residential COO, Alberta.
At the BILD Calgary Region Awards, Brookfield Residential won Show Home Parade of the Year for their Cranston’s Riverstone community; New Community of the Year for Seton; and Community of the Year for Livingston. But Brookfield Residential is not sitting on its laurels as they announce even more exciting developments for these particular communities.
For the New North community of Livingston, Brookfield Residential is just about ready to unveil its much-anticipated Livingston Homeowners Association (HOA) facility, scheduled to open this fall. “It will be a place of togetherness,” says Jessie Seymour, senior manager, marketing and community experience. “At 35,000 square-feet on a six-acre park, this will be the biggest homeowner’s association facility that we’ve ever built.” New show homes also opened in the spring, and more phases are set to open early next year.
Cranston’s Riverstone has lived up to all expectations as southeast Calgary’s premier riverside community, and it may be hard to believe but it is already approaching build out. “Buyers really cherish the close-to-nature character of the community,” Seymour says. Brookfield Residential will be opening new single-family homes starting from the low $400,000s, and Brookfield Residential, Baywest Homes, and Calbridge Homes will be opening new estate show homes from the low $700,000s. A grand opening event scheduled on September 19th and 20th.
Directly across the Deerfoot Trail from Riverstone is what just may be Brookfield Residential’s crowning glory in Seton. It already has the most complete set of commercial and recreational amenities in town, and soon it will have its own park. “We will be opening our first park here by October, and it will give our residents a place to gather and get to know each other,” Seymour says.
Of course, the outstanding array of home owning options that Seton has is what has made it so successful in such short a time. “We just opened new show homes in the latest phase this past spring. There is a home option here for all life stages or lifestyles,” Seymour says.
Those aren’t the only ones Brookfield Residential has in the works in Calgary, and next year may hold even more in store as action in its new Rockland Park community in the northwest start in earnest.
