Silver Spruce is coming up in a well-established corner of the southwest that is seeing some of the biggest new homeowning potential in the city, and its developer, Apex Developments, is making sure that this promise is realized.

Like many of Apex’s previous developments, the introduction of in-community amenities is prioritized.

Not to mention all the shops and restaurants that are already in Silverado.

Fresh opportunity

Calgary’s southwest has always held the title as the city’s most sought-after residential area, but in the past decade, opportunities to buy a new home in this quadrant had been extremely limited. Not anymore!

It will have a more boutique community feel though, with Excel Homes and Brookfield Residential in its builder group. They will be offering front-attached garage homes in the first phase, but Wilken says more product lines will be introduced in later phases.

Family homes

The front-drive garage home remains the most popular home type in the suburbs and Silver Spruce will have a wide range to choose from in this initial stage.

Brookfield Residential will have front drive garage homes from 1,884 to 2,485 square feet, with up to six bedrooms. Five models will be available starting from the low $700,000s.

Excel Homes front drive garage homes here will range from 1,775 to 2,274 square feet with up to four bedrooms. They will have seven models and start from the high $600,000’s. Showhomes will be available to view by late fall 2023.

Existing amenities

Silver Spruce offers this and much more, as it is a brand-new community within an already established part of the southwest. The community of Silverado is replete with all the essential amenities needed to enjoy a relaxed, easy, contemporary lifestyle.

There are two schools (elementary to junior high) as well as playschools in Silverado, kindergarten/elementary schools nearby. Wilken says another school is coming soon too.
