On April 12, more than 550 industry leaders gathered at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver for the 2025 HAVAN Awards for Housing Excellence, to honour the region’s finest in residential design, construction and renovation.

The Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN), with presenting sponsor FortisBC, placed a spotlight on the ingenuity and excellence shaping Metro Vancouver’s housing landscape—from luxurious custom homes and transformative renovations to thoughtful multi-family communities and forward-thinking infill housing.

“In a market where delivering housing has never been more complex, our members continue to rise to the challenge,” said Wendy McNeil, CEO of HAVAN. “These awards recognize the creativity, resilience and expertise that define Metro Vancouver’s homebuilding industry, and they help connect homeowners with the professionals capable of bringing their dreams to life.”

This year’s program set a new record, with 451 entries submitted by 181 companies across 65 categories. Projects were reviewed by a national panel of award-winning peers, ensuring each finalist met the highest standards in design, construction and homeowner value.

Top honours of the night included Twin Lions Contracting, which took home seven awards, including two Grand HAVANs for: Best Custom Home Builder of the Year and Best Residential Renovator of the Year. Miracon Development also claimed seven awards, including Grand wins for Best Residential Community: Single-Family and Best Single-Family Home Builder of the Year. Vesta Properties earned six awards, including Grands for Best Residential Community: Multi-Family and Best Multi-Family Home Builder of the Year, while My House Design/Build Team and Emphasis Architecture + Design Studio shared four wins, with Emphasis receiving the prestigious Grand HAVAN – Interior Designer of the Year.
